Magic And Wonder

At The Kentucky Center, Louisville's Kosair Charities and Louisville's Kids Center for Pediatric Therapies presents: The Magic and the Wonder at 5:00 pm on Sunday, May 22, 2016. To date, this annual event has raised over $275,000 for the children of Kosair Charities.

Mac King, Charlie Frye and Company, and Stephen Knowles are nationally acclaimed magicians and have come to town for this benefit.

Mac King has been named "Magician of the Year," by the Magic Castle in Hollywood, and has a running show at Harrah's Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas. Mac King and Charlie Frye specialize in comedy magic, while Stephen Knowles is a ventiloquist. The three national acts will be joined by local magicians Patrick and Janice Miller.

The show, proper, begins at 5:00 pm, but the magicians will perform close-up magic, in the lobby, starting at 4:00 pm. The show is safe for all ages and tickets start at $17.50.  The show is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, with an intermission.

The Kentucky Center was opened in 1983 in order to provide a home for the Louisville's performing arts groups. They provide the home for the Broadway Series, has hosted presidential debates (1984 between Ronald Reagan and Walter Mondale) and religious leaders (the Dalai Lama). In 2010, Billboard Magazine ranked the Kentucky Center in the top 10 grossing venue in the world.

Magic can be entertaining for the majority of people; come to the Kentucky Center to be amazed while supporting Kosair's ongoing commitment to Kentuckiana's children that need long-term medical care.
